friday i took a nap (a must around here) right before he came home, that way i could be up and ready to roam p-town all night long.
1st we ate at sushi ya and after eating 6 pieces i could NOT believe how full i was
2nd we grabbed a cup cake from the cocoa bean
3rd went to the dollar tree and had to find the other person two "thoughtful" things.
we ended up with a pack of toy story "go fish" cards, nose hair clippers, nail polish, paint brush, and cookies
(long was upset how hard it was to pick out something... he had to show me what he was buying so i could approve first.. after i said no to a really big hand mirror, i ended up really liking the nose hair clippers haha)
3rd we rented "another earth" (it is a MUST SEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!)
4th came home snuggled and watched the movie with sushi breath and trimmed nose hairs! (with a candle lit in the background)
due to my fabulous nap, i was able to stay awake the whole night. usually i would be sleeping by 9pm
we stayed up til 1am to watch a lil' australian open and off to bed
saturday i ran for a bit and met long at the gym. i had been wanting to go with him for some time and show him my muscles and saturday was just the day for that.
we bench pressed first. long was surprised how buff i was. and i was surprised how weak he was.
JUST KIDDING
he's ripped. and he knows it. and he hates on anyone who does less than him.
after an hour of ripping our muscles we grocery shopped, cleaned the house, & made linner (lunch/dinner since the chicken took forever to defrost)
the whole weekend i had planned to take long to the lake to see the sunset. sometimes i feel as though people here in provo don't realize how close the lake is to us. we get so distracted going out to all the new restaurants in this college town.
we invited our friends (okay MY friends) stephanie and yeji to come with us. we needed that extra human contact since we had only been with each other all weekend so far.
i guess you could say i made this sunset event a bigger deal than it should have been because stephanie and yeji were squealing when i told them.
after cooking and cleaning and working out all day i didn't find the time to shower.. and of course i waited to the last minute. boo! i know. the sun sets at
5 : 4 0 PM
we had to leave at
5 : 1 5 PM
for good timing
but, i wanted to look good and spent an extra ten minutes on myself
as we were picking up stephanie (5:25pm) i was getting worried the sun would set faster than i could drive
stop light after stop light, the sun was DEFINITELY setting behind the mountains.
i was screaming at every red light and every slow driver there was
we joked and said "just watch, once we make it there, the moon and stars will be out"
long, trying to lighten the mood, suggested we should just get out of the car and take a picture
unfortunately we were driving next to a wall...
at this point i didn't care and i was dressed up all cute so i kept on driving determined to take a picture of us someway somehow with a sun set
and let me tell you
driving from the east side of provo to the west side of orem is seriously like a 25 minute drive
(too many students going on double dates on the weekend i tell yah)
stephanie took a picture of what she could out of her window just so we could document that we were at least trying...
i'm just glad my peeps weren't upset at my lack of planning, instead they were just happy to be there for the ride
after following the gps, taking driving directions from the back seat drivers, speeding over a speed bump, getting lost in a parking lot, and stopping in time to not hit 10 deer..........
we made it.
just in time for the moon rise as long put it
i'm pretty sure that was what we were aiming for anyway
can't forget to include long's attempted pictures too!
[long didn't even let me look to see if he got a decent picture. i think he was sick of me asking him to take it over and over... and over again.. in the end, he did a good job!]
Looks like you made it at the perfect time! Gorgeous pics! Like the new blog layout, too!!!
