i think you are pretty cute

i first saw you in the periodicals section of the library
2nd floor
my first year of school at BYU
you were all alone
sorting through books
copying page by page
by hand

then a year later
[being busy kissing my boyfriend rather than studying]

i forgot all about you

luckily midterms came around
&& i needed to get back to business
and that is when i re visited the periodicals

and there you were

copying pages down
one after another
still by hand

then you see..

i graduated, then got married

i thought for sure i wouldn't see you again

and i went to church for the first time in our new family ward

and there you were

sitting in the front row
smiling ever so happily

your poor wife had passed away 5 years ago
& you go to the library

to "keep busy"

and still you are happier than ever

thank you for reuniting with me
and letting me take pictures of you during sunday school class
even though you totally saw me

i love you George
&& i think we will be great friends
