mosquito infestation

last week our "cool" married friends [meg&josh] planned an outing for us 4.
since we couldn't get a group to go camping we decided to have
a picnic in the canyon
we met half way in midvale, ut and got ready to drive up the canyon
it had been SUPER hot the whole week and just as we left
it rained. surprised? not i.
at least lil ol' mary made it up in one piece

to start off our journey we wanted to make sure we were
HYDRATED
so.. we bought slurpeesssss yumm...

we gathered together and began our "hike" to the most perfect location for our picnic.

 before we left, a potty break was in demand.. so we tried to convince megan to be one with nature and pee in the woods...

but she didn't buy it

little did we know mosquitoes would be attacking us from every angle
Meg & i came SUUPER prepared.. wearing a jacket & bug spray
Long & Josh on the other hand.. not so much
joshy let longie wear his button up shirt
while joshy wore the blanket.. [the whooleee time]

after taking care of the babies, we started our travels

we finally found the most exceptional location near logs and a cool walkway   

           

so we set up camp and began to eat our gourmet meals! [some were more gourmet than the others]

and there was a stench... and let me tell you.. it definitely wasn't a feather

so joshy covered his nose

we continued on our little journey around the lake capturing every moment.. clearly

on the way i did a quick photo shoot of the lovebirds 

[& josh wanted to start off as far away from each other as possible]

the lake was sooo bliss and it was fun being outdoors breathing the fresh air

to be honest

i don't think i wanna move away from here!

blasphemy i know

but if you came up for the summer you would understand what i mean

i mean.. just look at this place!

it was suuuper fun.. esp bringing the peeps who enjoy it the most with me!
